Position Mobile Mechanic - Class 5 drivers licence

Education
    • Valid Class 5 Driver’s licence required. Class 1 or 3 is an asset
Duties / Responsibilities
    The Mobile Mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting, repair and overhaul of a wide variety of vehicles and equipment. This role works closely with the Fleet Services team to ensure vehicle maintenance is kept up to date, perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections.
  • Responsibilities
  • Service and maintain medium and heavy-duty trucks and mounted hydraulic equipment
  • Maintain service documentation records and complete reports of work performed
  • Review work orders and establish priorities with Garage Foreman
  • Trouble shoot and maintain hydraulic and electric systems
  • Perform all duties in compliance with all policies, procedures, and safety regulations
  • Required to provide own tools
  • Road work on service truck as required and some overnight stay as required
  • Work on Bucket, Digger Derrick (RBD), and Crew trucks
  • Work on off road equipment, directional drills, trenchers, and plow cats
  • When not on the road, required to assist in the Fleet Shop with general duties
  • Qualifications and Requirements
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s licence required. Class 1 or 3 is an asset
  • High School Diploma required
  • Heavy duty Mechanic Certification is required
  • Knowledge of utility equipment is an asset
  • Welding experience an asset
  • Working knowledge of Bucket and Digger Derrick trucks an asset
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of off-road and heavy equipment, trucks, and trailers
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent problem-solving skills as it relates to trucks and equipment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work multiple shifts, including weekends and overnight stays when needed

Pay Range 55 per hour plus LOA 100 per day
