Position Accounting Team Leader

Duties / Responsibilities
  • Primary Responsibilities will be to oversee and maintain Accounting and Financial Functions.
  • Prepare and maintain cash management activities; bank reconciliations, general journals, bank adjustments, cash receipts, collections, and cash disbursements ensuring the adequacy of bank balances.
  • Prepare budgeting, costing analysis, statistical analysis, inventory levels, labour, gross margins, and asset management.
  • Cost Accounting and Inventory Management.
  • Prepare and provide analysis of financial reports.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements including the quarterly Incentive Compensation Program profit sharing report.
  • Provide and assist in negotiations of short- and long-term capital financing, ensuring the maintenance of banking covenants monitoring the borrowing base report is prepared quarterly.
  • Prepare for and liaise with auditors for financial statements and pension fund.
  • Review processes of ERP System to ensure compliance and productivity.
  • Lead the team’s overall performance of the accounting department and manage performance concerns, including training, performance reviews and performance management.
  • Attend continuous improvement or other related meetings and complete projects, as required.
  • Provide backup for any accounting functions, as required.
  • Provide support and assistance to the Management team on matters, as requested.
  • Understand and follow the policies and procedures of the Health and Safety Management System and the Quality Management System Skills and Educational Requirements
  • Skills and Educational Requirements.
  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a Manufacturing related role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Exposure to Visual Manufacturing and/or ERP Systems is an asset
  • Knowledge of ISO systems Other Attributes
  • Exceptional interpersonal, organization and communication skills partnered with a positive team approach.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in a professional manner both verbally and in writing with all levels of the Team and external stakeholders
  • Superior time management skills, ability to prioritize and multi-task while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in a professional manner

Pay Range 70 K or plus
