Education |
- Recognized formal education / training in Health & Safety (Certificate, Diploma, etc.)
- H&S Certification or accreditation in a safety discipline an asset (CRSP, CSP, CIH, etc.) but not required
- 3 years of experience in H&S in a manufacturing / industrial environment
- Solid knowledge of Canadian H&S standards
- Experience training individuals on OHSA standards
- Experience with claims management / MOL liaison an asset
- Strong communication skills (oral and written) and experience dealing with various staff levels

Duties / Responsibilities |
- Oversee / support company H&S initiatives and provide full H&S support services to the organization
- Perform location audits and inspections
- Administer on-site H&S orientations and ensure compliance to H&S standards on site
- Provide support in implementing company H&S management objectives, administer legislative requirements
- Propose strategies, plan implementation, provide training, and act as a technical resource for H&S initiatives / implementations
- Conduct job analyses from a H&S / ergonomics perspective
- Investigate incidents and assist with corrective actions
- Provide worker training in OHS&A programs
- Provide regulatory compliance support to the organization
