Position Maintenance Supervisor - Days - London
Job Type Permanent
Education
  • Grade 12 or equivalent education
  • Successful completion of a recognized Apprenticeship / Training program as Electrician, Millwright, Plumber, Pipe Fitter, etc.
  • 5 yrs+ industrial maintenance experience in a production environment, including supervisory / management experience
  • familiarity with technologies, methodologies and techniques used in manufacturing systems
  • ability to analyze and improve Predictive and Preventative Maintenance initiatives in a production facility
  • good analytical, decision-making and project management skills
  • proficient in MS Office applications
  • familiar with OHSA, Employment Standards Act, and Collective Agreement provisions
  • excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
  • strong troubleshooting skills and problem solving skills
  • knowledgeable in process controls and programming
  • ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • ability to work in a unionized environment with qualified tradesmen
  • willing to work assigned shift and be open to being available at times for on another shift if necessary or for special projects
Duties / Responsibilities
  • Responsible for leading hourly skilled trades employees on assigned shift
  • Engage hourly employees in work activities with safety / quality / cost in mind
  • Adhere to and conform with all applicable procedures, policies and regulations
  • Responsible for planning and budgeting for maintenance department
  • Ensure PM schedules are completed on a timely basis
  • Ensure Continuous Improvement planning is being implemented
  • Ensure breakdowns are addressed on a timely basis by using effective troubleshooting skills
  • Responsible for external vendors, suppliers, and contractors
  • Be adaptive to work situations and people with diverse backgrounds while driving for results
  • Form active working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Foster open communication and teamwork
  • Make solid decisions taking into account resources, constraints, and organizational values

Pay Range $80K to $90K + paid OT + benefits
