- Completion of Grade 12 or practical experience in a related industry is required
- Experience in a plastic injection manufacturing environment
- 2 yrs+ experience in a set-up role is required
- Demonstrated knowledge of forklift, scissor lift and crane operation
- Solid communication skills – written and verbal
- Knowledge of Health & Safety practices in a plant environment
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good attendance and safety record
- Willing and able to work outlined shift schedule as required

| Duties / Responsibilities |
- Identify and install molds into injection molding machines
- Ensure the start up process is as per product specifications and procedures
- Submit good quality parts to quality control and minimize set-up time in an efficient way while ensuring safety
- Meet or exceed daily planned event schedule and departmental objectives
- Set-up tooling and start-up process competently and safely
- Set-up complete tooling assembly on designated machines
- Contribute to plant cost reduction efforts
- Ensure all machine set-ups/start-ups are in accordance with the company and relevant quality standards before turning over to production
- Monitor quality of output during set-up or start-up, and take appropriate action, including shutdown of process, to prevent or limit faulty set-ups
- Identify and repair minor tooling problems associated with set-up
- Operate forklift and lifting devices to position mold or tooling during set-up and repair of mold
