Duties / Responsibilities
    Job Description
  • R & D Design of Large Machine Tool Equipment
  • Project Management.
  • Working with suppliers worldwide.
  • 3D CAD design with experience with SolidWorks.
  • FEA analysis using SolidWorks Simulation for both static and dynamic analysis.
  • Carry out assignments on project design teams.
  • Design and create detailed drawings of mechanical components and systems
  • Working with shop floor on machine builds.
  • Discuss and solve problems with manufacturing, sub-contractors, suppliers, and customers
  • Retrofit Design on older equipment. Qualifications
  • 3-5 Years of Experience. (other experience will be considered)
  • Diploma in Mechanical Design or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Required
  • Strong 2D/3D modeling capabilities (preferably in SolidWorks), structural FEA analysis, and GD&T experience.
  • Attention to details and accuracy.
  • Experience with Machine Tool Design with large CNC equipment. Knowledge of casted fabrications would be an asset.
  • Proficiency in a variety of standard engineering methods and techniques.
  • Working with ERP systems (Visual)
  • Electromechanical Knowledge. Skills:
  • Reliable team player

  • Knowledge of designing large mechanical equipment.
  • Experience on large scale projects.

  • Good understanding of manufacturing and machining processes
  • Hydraulic and Pneumatic Design.
  • Working in an ISO environment.
  • Selection of Linear Bearings and Ballscrew sizing.
  • Quality Control.
  • Be a team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-world teams.
  • CAM software knowledge
