Duties / Responsibilities |
- Identify problems, issues and concerns to eliminate risks through inspection of facilities, engineering review of machinery and processes, and ways to identify and correct potential risks as well as ensure safety regulation compliance. Engineering responsibility for improvements, process changes and capital investments aimed at increasing output, improving productivity and quality and maximize yield.
- This is a hands-on engineering role with a large input on processes and people. 2-5 years' engineering experience supporting operations and/or projects such as plant or process engineering, project design and/or technical services in the manufacturing sectors. Solid understanding of process safety elements, practical knowledge leading hazard assessments and exposure to industry CAN/CS-Z767-17 Standards and ISO 45001 Standards. Familiar with Management of Change Risk Management, Process Hazard Analysis risk assessments, process hazards, failure mechanisms and safeguards. Experience in health and safety management policy and procedure development. Working knowledge of works compensation legislation, NFPA, Fire Code, CSA and ANSI standards and OHSA.
