Education |
- Industrial Millwright license (433A) – Red Seal or Ontario
- Minimum Grade 12 education
- Industrial Millwright (433A) certification (Red Seal)
- 5 yrs+ experience in a mechanical maintenance role in an industrial environment ; any food production facility experience an asset
- Must have experience performing preventative and predictive maintenance on production equipment
- Competency with robotics, pumps, presses and material handling systems
- Able to read and understand blueprints, specifications, and manufacturer’s manuals to determine how a problem is to be approached
- Basic knowledge in welding, machining, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics

Duties / Responsibilities |
- Responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment within the plant
- Maintain, troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment and share knowledge of applicable mechanical concepts with other maintenance personnel
- Respond quickly to calls from production to keep equipment operational and ensure production runs smoothly
- Follow all food safety standards, safety rules, GMP rules, and company procedures
- Perform Mechanical PM activities as scheduled and report results
- Perform special projects from time to time as assigned in a cost effective and timely manner
- Communicate effectively with outside vendors and equipment manufacturers
- Work in a safe and efficient manner
- Keep work area clean & orderly
- Perform any other reasonable duties as required or assigned by Management
