CONTRACT POSITION Day shift - 8 hours. Some overtime.
- Requirements: 5 years' experience in set-up, operating and maintaining screw machines (Davenport). Good math skills. Ability to use precision measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, shadowgraph, etc. Able to read blueprints. Must be mechanically inclined to troubleshoot machinery.
- Responsibilities: Set up and run 2 - 3 machines. Responsible for loading bar stock, filling fluids and removing chips from machine. Move controls to cycle machine through settings, stopping machine and adjusting tool positions and machine controls to allow for operating factors such as timing, the clearance between moving parts and chip removal. Position and secure specified cams, gears and stops to control stock and tool movements at each station. Verify expected cycle time on the job order with the actual.
