Duties / Responsibilities |
Key responsibilities will include:
To oversee and manage all quality control criteria. This includes but is not limited to in house fabricated products, sub-contract fabrications, raw and processed materials, blasting and painting, welding performance and specific Client project requirements. The Quality Assurance Manager ensures the quality control inspection and the corresponding documentation to make sure it is in conformance with the companies Approved ASME, Quality Control Manual, CWB W47.1 and CSA W-59 certifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum CWB Level 2 certification to CSA 178.2
- Highly organized; functional in MS Outlook, Word and Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communications along with strong leadership and mentorship capabilities.
- Working knowledge of CWB W47.1, ASME QA Manual, and CSA W-59 Codes and Standards; General understanding of CISC, NACE, API-650 and API-620 Codes & Standards as well as a good working knowledge of W178.2
- Visual Weld Inspection and CGSB (N.D.E.).
- At least 5 to 10 years’ experience in the steel fabrication industry.
- College or university degree preferred, or an acceptable combination of education and relevant experience.
- Journeyperson tickets considered a strong asset.
- Familiarity with the AISC Certification Program Requirements
