Position Industrial Electrician - Continental Rotation - Brampton

Education
  • Red Seal Industrial Electrician license (442A) or Construction & Maintenance license (309A)
  • Electrical Engineering Degree or Diploma an asset
  • 5 yrs+ experience in a maintenance role in an industrial environment
  • Experience with AC/DC Drives, Relay Logic, RS Logix 500 and Control Logix programming
  • Able to read and understand blueprints
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills required
  • Able to work at heights and in confined spaces
Duties / Responsibilities
  • SHIFT: Continental Day / Night rotation – 7:00 to 7:00 (1 week DAYS, 1 week NIGHTS)
  • Maximize plant performance through troubleshooting, repair and upgrade electrical equipment
  • Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, lighting fixtures and other electrical components such as switches, relays, circuit breakers and fuse disconnects
  • Troubleshoot, repair and maintain industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other related devices
  • Work with computers, AC/DC drives, HMIs, and PLCs
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications
  • Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records
  • Maintain spare parts inventory
  • Work closely with Operations and Mechanical Maintenance personnel
  • Plan and oversee testing and calibration of electrical and electronic equipment and tools on a scheduled basis
  • Comply with internal and corporate policies, procedures, and regulations with respect to Health & Safety
  • Respond to emergency situations as necessary
  • Maintain safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations

Pay Range $34.62/hr + benefits
