• University Degree or College Diploma in a technical field ; may consider equivalent experience
• Minimum of 3 years of related work experience in a union environment
• Management of a site with 50+ employees and three-shift / continuous operations environment
• Leader with people management skills who is positive and leads by example
• Experience putting in operational metrics and holding people accountable to same
• Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
• Backing in manufacturing with a clear understanding of production planning and scheduling techniques

Duties / Responsibilities |
- Oversee facility to drive meeting of production requirements and utilize various resources (personnel, equipment processes, material, etc.) based on weekly schedule
- Manage production and planning, procurement, storage and distribution of materials and products to meet customer requirements
- Manage quality standards and housekeeping according to agreed standards
- Ensure inventory control accuracy and weekly cycle counts
- Involvement in new process development and CI initiatives
- Daily review of efficiency reports to insure targets and ISO requirements are met and adhered to
- Provide direction and take action to insure targets are met, review BOM variances
- Participate in JHSC and manage Health & Safety programs including monthly safety meetings, enforce established company safety rules and regulations, Accident Investigations / prevention, monitor and counsel Supervisors on safety-related activities
- Prepare production plan in accordance with the release schedules and customer requirements
