Position Industrial Electrician - Night Shift - Winnipeg, MB

Education
  • Red Seal Industrial Electrician license
  • 5 yrs+ in a highly automated industrial manufacturing environment
  • prior experience in a food production facility an asset
  • strong electrical, instrumentation, automation, pneumatics experience
  • medium voltage, weigh scales, vision systems, HMI, PLCs (Siemens S5/S7, A/B SLC5), VFD, Servomotors, Profibus / Ethernet Network Communications experience
  • superior troubleshooting, problem solving and decision making skills
  • strong communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure with tight time constraints
Duties / Responsibilities
  • Mon. to Friday (10:30pm to 7:00am) OR Weekends (Thurs / Fri. / Sat. / Sun. – 10:30pm to 9:00am – four 10 hr shifts)
  • Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot and repair of: - electrical equipment (AC Drives, power control circuits, starters, MCCs) - microprocessor based systems (PLCs, DCS, Electronic circuits, controls) - low and medium voltage distribution systems (single & three phase systems) - instrumentation (pneumatic controls, PID, transducers, servos, analog/digital signals) - power distribution & generation (generators, transformers, switchgears, breakers) - communication and data systems (closed circuit TV, timekeeping, phone / computer) - HVAC, emergency systems (boilers, refrigeration, energy control, alarm)
  • Conduct planned preventative & predictive maintenance and keep maintenance records
  • Recommend and implement corrective action and required repairs
  • Assist in planning, organizing of Work activities (drawing interpretation, parts preparation)
