- Red Seal Industrial Electrician license
- 5 yrs+ in a highly automated industrial manufacturing environment
- prior experience in a food production facility an asset
- strong electrical, instrumentation, automation, pneumatics experience
- medium voltage, weigh scales, vision systems, HMI, PLCs (Siemens S5/S7, A/B SLC5), VFD, Servomotors, Profibus / Ethernet Network Communications experience
- superior troubleshooting, problem solving and decision making skills
- strong communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure with tight time constraints

Duties / Responsibilities |
- Mon. to Friday (10:30pm to 7:00am) OR Weekends (Thurs / Fri. / Sat. / Sun. – 10:30pm to 9:00am – four 10 hr shifts)
- Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot and repair of:
- electrical equipment (AC Drives, power control circuits, starters, MCCs)
- microprocessor based systems (PLCs, DCS, Electronic circuits, controls)
- low and medium voltage distribution systems (single & three phase systems)
- instrumentation (pneumatic controls, PID, transducers, servos, analog/digital signals)
- power distribution & generation (generators, transformers, switchgears, breakers)
- communication and data systems (closed circuit TV, timekeeping, phone / computer)
- HVAC, emergency systems (boilers, refrigeration, energy control, alarm)
- Conduct planned preventative & predictive maintenance and keep maintenance records
- Recommend and implement corrective action and required repairs
- Assist in planning, organizing of Work activities (drawing interpretation, parts preparation)
