Position Millwright / Maintenance Technicians - Brampton
Job Type Permanent
Education
  • Licensed Industrial Millwright license (433A) with electrical maintenance experience
  • Dual trade standing (Millwright + Electrician) an asset
  • 5 yrs+ experience in a maintenance role in an industrial environment ; food industry experience an asset
  • Must have experience performing preventative and predictive maintenance on production equipment
  • Experience with forming machinery / Formax an asset
  • Able to read and understand blueprints, electrical drawings
  • Experience with control panels
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills required
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills required
  • Computer literate - MS Office
Duties / Responsibilities
    OPENING Shift Options: 1. Days – Monday to Friday - (7:00am – 3:00pm), OR 2. Afternoons - Monday to Friday - (3:00pm to 11:00pm), OR 2. Nights - Monday to Friday - (11:00pm to 7:00am)
  • Responsible for equipment and premises maintenance ensuring safe operation, maximum operating time and service to achieve company goals
  • Maintain, troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment and share knowledge with other maintenance personnel / cross-training support
  • Train production staff on set-up / minor troubleshooting and running of plant equipment
  • Respond quickly to calls from production to keep equipment operational and ensure production runs smoothly
  • Perform PM activities as scheduled and report results
  • Work with a mindset to optimize operations efficiency / KPIs
  • Maintain spare parts inventory
  • Work in a safe and efficient manner keeping in mind SQF / HACCP standards and company philosophy of safety, quality and productivity
  • Keep work area clean & orderly
  • Be willing to be available for coverage for planned and unplanned absences if needed
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as required or assigned by Management
