Position Millwright - Day Shift - Brampton
Job Type Permanent
Education
  • Industrial Millwright license (433A) – Red Seal or Ontario
  • Minimum Grade 12 education
  • 5 yrs+ experience in a mechanical maintenance role in an industrial environment
  • Must have experience performing preventative and predictive maintenance on production equipment
  • Competency with pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors, etc.
  • Able to read and understand blueprints, specifications
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills required
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills required
  • Able to communicate effectively with peers and managers
  • Able to work effectively independently or in a team
  • Able to create material lists and provide input on most efficient install options for equipment and perform the installs
  • Strong safety orientation and ability to follow proper safety procedures (i.e Lock-Out / Tag-Out, etc.) with a ‘do it right the first time’ mentality
  • Self-sufficient and team oriented
  • Computer literate - MS Office
  • Driver’s license (G1) / willing to go between plants periodically if needed for support purposes (company /km reimbursement provided)
  • Willing and able to work assigned shift
Duties / Responsibilities
  • Responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment within the plant
  • Maintain, troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment and share knowledge of applicable mechanical concepts with other maintenance personnel
  • Respond quickly to calls from production to keep equipment operational and ensure production runs smoothly
  • Perform Mechanical PM activities as scheduled and report results
  • Communicate effectively with outside vendors and equipment manufacturers
  • Work in a safe and efficient manner
  • Keep work area clean & orderly
  • Periodic on-call support of nearby second plant (2 km)
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as required or assigned by Management

Pay Range $36/hr + benefits + profit sharing
