Position Millwright - Continental Rotation - Concord
Job Type Permanent
Education
  • Minimum Grade 12 education
  • Industrial Millwright (433A) certification (Red Seal)
  • 5 yrs+ experience in a mechanical maintenance role in an industrial environment
  • Any prior electrical maintenance or PLC experience an asset
  • Must have experience performing preventative and predictive maintenance on production equipment
  • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, conveyors, motors
  • Able to read and understand blueprints, specifications, and manufacturer’s manuals to determine how a problem is to be approached
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills required
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills required
  • Able to communicate effectively with peers and managers
  • Able to take charge of projects and assigned tasks
  • Able to create material lists and provide input on most efficient install options for equipment and perform the installs
  • Strong safety orientation and ability to follow proper safety procedures (i.e Lock-Out / Tag-Out, etc.) with a ‘do it right the first time’ mentality
  • Self-sufficient and team oriented
  • Computer literate - MS Office, CMMS
  • Willing and able to work assigned shift
Duties / Responsibilities
  • Continental Day / Night rotation (7 to 7 – two weeks of days / two weeks of nights)
  • Responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment within the plant
  • Perform minor electrical repairs and assist the Electricians as needed
  • Ensure mechanical equipment within the plant is regularly serviced and operating at maximum safe production levels
  • Operate necessary equipment / tools to perform repairs
  • Perform Mechanical PM activities as outlined on all equipment to ensure optimal operation and safety
  • Track completed work through a CMMS (labour hours, parts, repair comments, etc.)
  • Work closely with plant personnel on troubleshooting and problem solving initiatives
  • Participate in Lock-Out verification programs
  • Complete relevant PM paperwork
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as required or assigned by Management

Pay Range $37.60/hr + benefits
