- Completion of OR current enrollment in CPP, APICS or other professional designation preferred
- 10 yrs+ experience in progressive supply chain functions in manufacturing sector environments
- 5 yrs+ senior level management experience in Purchasing or Supply Chain with direct reports
- Background in manufacturing industry related to large mechanical equipment production

Duties / Responsibilities |
- Work closely with the Production, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and Engineering functions to ensure optimum quality, pricing, and delivery of components (correct quantity quality, pricing, and delivery schedules)
- Develop and maintain commodities and vendors
- Use thorough analyses combined with experience, judgment and skilled negotiation to accomplish departmental goals and meet performance targets set by management
- Direct all Buyers and Production Control Coordinators in daily duties
- Plan, direct and control the movement and transaction of materials and products in the plant to successfully meet production schedules
- Ensure availability of all purchased and manufactured materials
- Identify and eliminate any conditions that could cause production delays
- Plan and coordinate material required for new product launches
- Effectively communicate supply chain information throughout the organization
- Ensure a continuous supply of components to production
