Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Civil or Chemical Engineering. 4-7 years' related experience including experience in hydraulic modelling of gas distribution and transmission systems or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Registered as a Professional Engineer with the Assoc. of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of BC or equivalent association. Knowledge and experience in the use of hydraulic modelling software. Knowledge of gas operations, company standards, procedures and regulatory requirements. Knowledge of computer systems, data processing and specialized software. |
Duties / Responsibilities |
Coordinating engineering activities to determine and establish timelines for all capital capacity expansion projects; provides engineering knowledge, technical guidance and direction to technologists and engineering staff regarding hydraulic design, sizing, capacity review and modeling of existing and proposed distribution systems and transmission pipelines; assists in the development of capital improvement plans and transmission budgets; evaluates long range capacity plans and alternatives for system improvement projects, determines costs and timelines to support project applications; conducts hydraulic analysis and support for planned and emergency operations work, business development activities and gas supply initiatives including input and support of CPCN applications; conducts capacity analysis and provides recommendations. | •
