Position Operations Manager - Manitoba

Education
  • Post Secondary education in Business Administration or other related post-secondary education preferred
  • 10 yrs+ manufacturing experience in operations management
  • Must be highly motivated, self-driven, intelligent and self-confident with an understanding of modern business principles
  • Ability to provide strong leadership, allied with good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership in developing and motivating staff
Duties / Responsibilities
  • Plan, direct and control activities of the Division to accomplish budgeted financial objectives
  • Direct and work with functions such as production, research and development, engineering, quality, maintenance, marketing/sales, human resources, and purchasing, Finance, IT and Logistics
  • Direct and coordinate plant operations within company policies and procedures
  • Directly manage activities of the Production Control Manager, Production Planning Coordinators, Manufacturing Engineering Manager, and Safety/Plant Maintenance Manager
  • Create long-term plans and initiatives to accomplish company goals efficiently
  • Meet plant budget and production goals, quality requirements, cost targets, and delivery schedules
  • Responsible for establishing and execution of production schedules
  • Monitor daily operation schedules for assigned departments for accuracy and ensuring daily operational goals are realized
  • Implement a new 5S Guide to Lean Manufacturing and Create a Training system for plant employees to ensure employees are performing their jobs properly
  • Partner with HR to ensure staffing requirements are met

Pay Range up to $175K + benefits + bonus
