Position	Plastics Project Engineer - Toronto
Job Type	Permanent
Education	Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field 10 years+ experience in an engineering role Strong experience in plastics manufacturing (thermoforming and/or plastic extrusion of rigid plastics – rPET, PP, etc.) Demonstrated ability to successfully execute capital projects Engineering and/or Maintenance department leadership experience an asset Ability to teach and build sustainable work processes / understanding of Mechanical and Electrical processes Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational skills, time management skills Able to create / foster productive relationships with various levels of staff Able to work flexible hours if required in order to meet internal / external customer requirements Able to travel to other plant locations and equipment suppliers as needed (not extensive)
Duties / Responsibilities	Provide engineering support to plastics operations Seek out and assess new technologies to meet corporate strategic goals Execute resultant projects and communicate project / program status, work activities, and potential problems to relevant functional areas Deliver projects on time, on budget, meet project objectives Coordinate and execute production equipment enhancements and upgrades for the purpose of cost reduction, reliability, and product quality Provide engineering support for new product development Assist in preparing Capital and Departmental Budgets Support the company CI (Continuous Improvement) program Ensure compliance with laws, standards and regulations in effect for buildings and equipment Other duties as required

Pay Range	up to $85K + bonus
