- Relevant technical (IT, etc.) education (Degree / Diploma / Certifications)
- 5 yrs+ of related IT support experience
- Experience providing IT support for a manufacturing company with multiple locations a strong asset
- Strong experience with MS Office (hardware and software), network connectivity and database maintenance support (workstations, firewalls, networking, etc.)
- Any experience with ERP software support an asset
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Ability to act independently to determine fixes / repairs and carrying out same to resolution
- Ability to respond consistently to corporate staff requests and resolve issues or complex problems that may arise
- Well developed written and verbal communication, listening and people skills
- Efficient organization and time-management skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to avoid getting overwhelmed when faced with more than 1 issue at a time
- Ability to work independently for periods of time
- Courteous and professional demeanor
- Ability to work under pressure
- General passion for technology and learning
- Valid Canadian passport ; able to travel as needed (very infrequently) within the GTA, across Canada and the US

| Duties / Responsibilities |
- Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day issues for: Desktops, Laptops, Printers / Scanners, Phones, Network, Connectivity, Firewalls, VPNs, Remote connectivity software, ERP software
- Desktop and laptop set-up / configuration
- Desktop updates for compliance – OS and Office
- Remote access configuration for laptop users and branch offices
- Daily monitoring of: Backups at multiple locations, Network performance, Firewall performance
- Patching for: Desktops (weekly), Servers (quarterly), Firewalls (quarterly), Phone Systems (twice a year)
- Quarterly backups of Firewall images, Phone systems, Other
- Developing of corporate reports using MS Reporting Services
- Configuring and deploying new IP phones across the corporation
- Corporate network set-up and deployment
- Network optimization at Head Office and remote branch locations
- Any other position related duties as assigned
