Education |
- Licensed Electrician (309A, 309D, or 442A) with mechanical aptitude
- 5 yrs+ industrial maintenance experience ; any plastics manufacturing environment experience an asset though not required
- Solid knowledge of electrical maintenance as it relates to production equipment, including installation experience
- Practical experience in a set-up / process role preferred
- Knowledge of forklift, scissor lift and crane operation an asset
- Excellent communication, inter-personal and organizational skills
- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Any experience with work order delegation / maintenance planning an asset

Duties / Responsibilities |
- Plan and layout work assignments from complex blueprints, sketches, or verbal instruction and accomplish these assignments
- Inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing plant machinery, tooling, molds, equipment systems, buildings, and physical structures
- Competently and safely use all tools and operate all machine tools such as lathes and grinders for the efficient overhaul, maintenance or set-up of Company property
- Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment
- Involvement in management of change, layout meetings or method improvements
- Maintain, coordinate, and conduct preventative maintenance programs, while keeping accurate records (including MP2 program)
- Assist the Maintenance Manager in the daily scheduling, vacation scheduling, training of maintenance employees, and co-ordination of the work in the Maintenance Department
- Be available for maintenance coverage during vacations or maintenance call-ins and perform as back-up Maintenance Manager when required
