Education |
- First Class Power Engineer license OR Second Class actively working on obtaining their First license
- Experience in operating large Utilities facilities (power distribution, steam generation, vacuum systems, compressed air systems, water distribution systems)
- Maintenance experience – prioritizing maintenance assets to ensure plant reliability
- Control room experience – monitoring complex processes and coordinating critical activities
- Projects experience – planning, organizing budgeting and prioritizing construction projects for area of responsibility
- Supervisory experience – coordinating Shift Engineers and maintenance resources to ensure uninterrupted services to internal customers

Duties / Responsibilities |
- Manage utilities processes / systems within the area of accountability to achieve outputs:
- Zero Harm to employees, the business, the environment and the community
- Achieve / exceed production quality and quantity targets while maximizing economic resources and recovery
- Achieve total product and unit cost, and capital (as applicable) expenditure targets
- Manage Utilities operations area, working with Maintenance to execute annual plans and mitigate impact of plant interruptions
- Reliably provide power and piped utilities to the operations, treat water from the mine
- Provide day to day and off-shift technical support to the Manager
- Support Manager in the development and management of the cost and capital expenditure budget
