| Duties / Responsibilities |
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this position is accountable for contributing to various Operating Engineering and Maintenance tasks at the Longlife division. Candidates are required with the following qualifications and will perform the duties listed below.
Qualifications & Competencies:
Must have:
- valid 3rd Class Operating Engineer Certificate
- Industrial Millwright and/or Electrician License required
- Well experienced to maintain and operate Steam Boilers, Air Compressors, Ammonia Refrigeration
- Proven ability to maintain and repair various packaging and processing equipment
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a positive, solutions-oriented team player
- Dedicated to safety and process excellence
- A strong background in HACCP and GMP’s would be an asset
Key Accountabilities:
- Maintain and operate boilers, air compressors, ammonia refrigeration, water chillers, cooling tower, and building facilities
- Troubleshoot and maintain processing equipment such as UHT, VTIS, Pasteurizer, Silos, AST tanks, valves and pumps
- Maintain and troubleshoot bag and carton fillers and high-speed packaging equipment
THIS IS A ROTATING CONTINENTAL SHIFT WITH FULL BENEFITS AND AN HOURLY RATE OF $34-38
