Education |
- High School education and good technical knowledge and math skills
- Ontario Machinist license an asset but not required
- Minimum 3 years of experience in CNC Boring Mill set-up / adjustment / operation in a machine shop environment
- Experience with Heidenhain and/or Siemens controls an asset
- Ability to use measuring instruments (edge finder, micrometers, verniers, bore gauges, thread gauges, surface tester, etc.)
- Knowledge of drilling, tapping, and milling tools and their parameters
- Experience with large parts a definite asset
- Experience machining components to tight tolerances

Duties / Responsibilities |
- DAY SHIFT
- Effectively and accurately machine parts on CNC Boring Mill with precision and little supervision
- Read blueprints, process sheets, and/or sketches of part to determine final product
- Review specs to determine set-up procedure, machining sequence and dimensions of finished product
- Edit programs to make adjustments as needed
- Ensure effective production of quality parts by checking drawings, using gauges and other measuring equipment
- Other duties as assigned
